Oslo, Norway

19.12.2005

I came to Oslo a while back now, and I'm here again now.. so I guess this one is ongoing. It's a deceptively small capital where everyone I have met seems to be on television.

The Nobel Museum

A Norwegian also invented the paper clip

Marita and Rani

Drinking coffe as usual

Mars.. I mean Japp bar

They actually have mars as well. They are different things.

At the NRK Studios for the Store Studio taping

It was great to be in the audience of a norwegian talk show.

Ungdomskulen (Youth School) playing at Mono

These guys were wicked. I bought their 3 x 7 inch EP.

Datarock (Computer rock) playing at Mono

A good crowd pleaser but not as good as Ungdomskulen. (Sorry for the head in the foreground).

An oldish building at the Norwegian Folk Museum (Outdoor)

Food storage building

At the Norwegian Folk Museum

Some sort of barn with grass growing out of the roof

Norwegian Folk Museum

Broccoli really trying to grow

Wouldn't think it would stand a chance.

A really, really, really old church

Really.

Here we go - a genuine (restored) viking ship!

There are only a couple of original ones left in the world!

The understated Royal Palace

You can walk right up to the front door. I guess the guard would ask what you're doing though...

Dops Gate (Drug street)

This is some of all that is left of the original Oslo after most of it burnt down some years back.

Rani's apartment

On the 3rd floor.

Vigelandsparken (Vigeland's Park)

A really angry baby

The Monolit (Monolith, obviously) and Rani

Yes, Rani is that tall.

Close up of the Monolit

A nice park in Oslo on dusk

It was at the end of a long day of walking so I'm not sure where this is...

Rani drinking coffee again..

Hot chocolate (foreground) for the baby.
