Stockholm, Sweden

05.01.2006

A quick-fire 4 days in Sweden's capital with Uday, who spent 3 months in Australia a couple of years back.

Outside Uday's house in Valentuna

Apparently it's rare to have this much snow around Stockholm at this time of year..

Valentuna again

Arvfurstenspalats in central Stockholm

This is where they hold the Nobel Prize dinner.

Barnhusviken, frozen over

The Vasabron (Vasa Bridge)

This bridge connects the mainland area of Stockholm with Gamla Stan, the old town.

Kungliga Slottet (The Royal Palace)

A building on Skepps Holmen after sunset

The North bank of Södermalm

A nice building at night

Sorry, not exactly sure what this one is..

Me drinking 0.5cl of Hoegaarden

Uday and I

Uday getting annoyed at me taking photos

Me eating herring and potatoes

Classic dish, this one...

Uday, drunk. Though acting too.

Uh oh, more transport typography

Also notice the lego-like structure to the left.

A nice tunnel through a hill in Central Stockholm

Uday in a different section of the tunnel

Space age stainless steel plates.

The streets of Gamla Stan, the old town

Look closely at the flesh coloured building on the left - it's falling over.

Actually most of the old district is sinking.

A cannon ball apparently stuck there from some sort of 'brew ha ha'

Really strange trees

People skating on Valentuna Sjön (Valentuna 'Sea')

What fun

Uday looking serious because he doesn't have skates.

More people skating on Valentuna Sjön

A yellow house amongst the white

The Church at Valentuna

Squeezable meat/cheese..

Second from the left is minced, smoked reindeer meat... in squeezable cheese form.
