Check out the new Scapin! What a machine! Many special thanks must go to Davo for giving me much needed guidance in building up this mean machine with me.. all the way over in Munich, Germany!

  • Frame - Circa 1980 Scapin Italian-built racing frame, double butted Columbus steel alloy, cherry red (faded in spots);
  • Forks - Original forks that came with the frame! So, see above;
  • Cranks - Shimano Dura Ace 3 ring (using outer chainring mount);
  • Chain Ratio - 39t : 15t;
  • Brake calipers - Shimano 600;
  • Brake levers - Shimano 600;
  • Handlebars - Syntace Racelite CD 7075 T-X Ultralight Al alloy;
  • Handlebar tape - Synthetic black, wound by Davo;
  • Headset - Shimano 600;
  • Pedals - SR SP100-BLs;
  • Rims - Matrix ISO C-11 700-C, heat treated, ceramic coated, 700mm dia;
  • Tyres - Panaracer Stradius Pro Slicks 28";
  • Seat - Selle Italia 'Flite';
  • Seat post - Selle San Marco with scalloped cut-outs;
  • Absolute gearing ratio - 1 crank rotation : 5.5m road travel;
  • Absolute weight - 9.2kg.
